It’s no secret that I’m a big Derek Webb fan. If you haven’t listened to his music, you need to. Adam Ellis posted a video which uses the song “A New Law” (from his most recent disc, Mockingbird.) The video was apparently made by the folks at The Work Of The People. Their description is as follows:
Many Christians are more comfortable following artificial religious laws rather than enjoying the freedom that Christ provided in his resurrection. Christ came to give us freedom, yet many of us live as slaves, blinded to the beauty of our Christian liberty, unable to see past our ‘new laws’. Music by Derek Webb.
Check out the video here at Adam’s blog or here at TWOTP site. It’s worth the few minutes it takes to watch it.

D Webb is awesome. I love Mockingbird, even though it kicks me in the face every time I listen. I see you’re into Cash, too. Legend of Cash is a great compilation, some of his very best work.

Jason, I agree about Webb. I love his stuff, but in a way it’s also painful to hear.
Yes, I just recently got “Legend..” and I love it. The whole “Walk the Line” hype caused me to start listening to him again. I’ve heard his music forever, and always liked it, but never owned any of it.
My dad actually grew up near the Cash family in NE Arkansas. In fact, my dad’s oldest brother married a sister of Johnny’s, so I have a cousin who is Johnny’s nephew.
