This is old news now, but I happened to be watching the local news on our NBC station this weekend (I’m usually watching our ABC station instead) and therefore I ended up catching the opening to Saturday Night Live. Former Vice-President Al Gore opened up the show from the Oval Office.
In the skit, he is addressing the nation as the 43rd President, in sort of a “what if Al was president” scenario. He discusses how global warming has been stopped, how we now have too much gasoline (at 0.19 / gallon), how we’re loved by everyone in the world, as well as the “anti-hurricane and tornado machine” that he helped develop. He even mentions baseball commisioner George W. Bush and his promise to find the steroid users, no matter the cost. He pokes some fun at the current administration and at himself, and all in all I thought it was pretty funny.
